Introduction
The Faculty of Accountancy has been established in Jengka since 1996 and has been offering the opportunity for those who aspire to become a certified accountant. The faculty has also been playing a significant role in building the nation, particularly in producing professional and sub-professional Bumiputras in the field of accountancy.
Lecturers in this faculty come from various areas of expertise ranging from financial accounting and reporting, cost and management accounting, financial management, taxation, auditing, to accounting information system.
AC110-Diploma in Accountancy
PROGRAMMES OFFERED
The Faculty of Accountancy in UiTM Pahang Branch (Jengka Campus) offers a Diploma in Accountancy (AC110) for full-time students. The diploma programme is designed with to train Bumiputeras in the field of accountancy at a sub-professional level. The duration of the full-time diploma program is 2½ years which is 5 semesters. The diploma qualification has been recognized by the Malaysian Government as a sub-professional qualification.
Opportunities for Further Studies
DIA graduates with good to excellent academic performance may further their studies at any local or foreign institution of higher learning. Among the courses available are:
- Bachelor in Accountancy (Hons.) (UiTM)
- Bachelor in Accountancy (Local/Foreign Universities)
- Professional courses (MICPA, ACCA and CIMA)
Admission Requirement
Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) or other equivalent qualifications with (5) five credits including English and Mathematics and Bahasa Melayu/Malaysia.
Program Structure
The DIA programme is divided into 6 semester with the emphasis on interdisciplinary approach to accounting.
